Obituary
Mr. Donald “Ray” Long, 75, passed away Monday, January 11, 2021.
A private graveside service will be held in Pinewood Memorial Park.
Ray lived most of his life in Rocky Mount and retired from Abbott Laboratories. He has resided in the Greenville area for the past 12 years.
Ray was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Sue Long, and parents, TE and Phoebe Long.
He is survived by his daughters, Vickie Wright and husband, Ryan, and Joey Farless and husband, Lewis; granddaughter, Reagan Farless; brothers, Rev. T.E. Long, Jr. and Ronnie Long and wife, Julie; sister-in-law, Margaret Mosley and husband, Harlon; and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Research Fund, ECU Medical Foundation, 525 Moye Blvd., Greenville, NC 27858.
