Rose Marie Bissonnette Murphy, age 95, of Camp Hill, formerly New Cumberland, passed away from COVID-19 on Saturday, January 9, 2021. Rose was born on April 7, 1925, in Central Falls, RI, the daughter of the late George J. and Alida (Provost) Bissonnette.

In addition to her parents, Rose was preceded in death by husband Kenneth C. Murphy, her brothers Fr. Georges L. Bissonnette a.a., and Albert A. Bissonnette, and her son-in-law Mark R. Bennett.

Surviving are her children, John K. Murphy (Kristin), Marie M. Smith (Edward), and Theresa L. Bennett; grandchildren Christina M. Walsh (Matthew), Brittany R. Bennett, Nicole C. Bennett, Anna R. Smith, and Erin C. Smith; great-grandchildren Jace R. Bennett, Riley C. Walsh, Jameson M. Bennett, and Madison L. Walsh. Rose was a resident of The Woods at Cedar Run. She was an active member of St. Theresa Catholic Church in New Cumberland where she was involved in the Little Flower Club, the CCW, and formerly taught Religious Education.

Rose was a member of the New Cumberland Woman's Club and volunteered for many years on election day and as a tax preparer for senior citizens. Rose was an avid Red Sox fan and enjoyed travel and all types of music.

Her greatest joy was her family and was thrilled to live long enough to enjoy her great-grandchildren. Rose's favorite saying epitomizes how she lived her life, "We are our brother's keeper." Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at St. Theresa Church, New Cumberland, with the Rev. Kyle Sahd as Celebrant.

Burial will be in Rolling Green Cemetery, Lower Allen Twp. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her memory to St. Theresa Catholic Church, 1300 Bridge Street, New Cumberland, PA 17070.
