WARREN — Nancy Louise Israel Bumgardner, 84, passed away Sunday, Dec. 20, 2020, in Newport News, Va., surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Canonsburg, Pa., to Peter and Anna Israel and later the family moved to Ohio, where she graduated from Warren G. Harding High School.

Following high school, she worked for Standard Transformer, where she met her husband of 56 years, the late John Aldin Bumgardner Sr. and became a homemaker. In 1972, Nancy became employed with Schwebel Baking Co. from where she retired with more than 30 years of service. She liked cooking, baking and sewing for her family, fishing, doing crossword puzzles and shopping. She also loved and enjoyed her many fur babies.

Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, John; her parents; three sisters and their husbands; and a sister-in-law.

Left to cherish her memories are her two sons, John (Diane) Bumgardner and Tom (Pam) Bumgardner of Ohio; daughter, Mary Pascute (Doug) of Virginia; eight grandchildren, Amanda, Max, Morgan, Anna, Ben, Alyssa, Emily and Addie; four great-grandchildren; her brother, Paul Edward Israel; and several nieces, nephews and other family members.

A memorial service will be conducted 3:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 18, 2021, at First Presbyterian Church of Warren, officiated by the Rev. Betty Angelini. Inurnment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the ASPCA.
