Obituary for Charlene Riley
With deep sadness we announce Charlene Riley, 79, relocated to her heavenly home on January 9, 2021.
Beloved wife of Donald Riley, cherished mother of Pam Jeanes (Mike) and much-loved grandmother of Katelyn Jeanes fought bravely for 17 years with lung cancer.
Born in Walker KY. To Edna (Carnes) Messer and Leroy Mills, she attended Knox Central High School and moved to Louisville after graduation to attend Spencerian College.
Through her 30 plus years as a realtor, she touched many with her caring and Kindness. It brought her great pleasure to help friends find their first home or their dream home.
She is survived by her dearly loved husband, daughter, granddaughter, sisters, Sherry Moore (Virgil), and Carolyn Gambrel and brothers, Darrell Messer (Candy) and Joe Messer (Charlotte).
She is preceded in death by her parents, brother, Flem Messer and a special aunt, Dorothy Carnes.
Her funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 15, 2021 at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway with burial at Cave Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of her service Friday at Owen Funeral Home.
