Due to current Covid-19 restrictions memorial services will be held in the spring at Iles Westover Chapel where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Private burial will be at Iowa Veterans Cemetery near Van Meter.
Jan was born September 16, 1947, in Quincy, IL, to Russell and Dorothy (Willer) Paul.
She married David Lee Meyer in October of 1969.
Jan graduated from Iowa State University in Ames and earned her master’s degree from Viterbo University.
She was a special education teacher for Urbandale School District.
She is survived by her two sons, David (Molly) Meyer of Des Moines, IA, and Patrick (Charlotte) Meyer of Cheltenham, England; and three grandchildren, Drake Meyer, Dane Meyer and Milo Meyer;
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband David.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Kiya Koda Humane Society or Whiskers TNR of Warren County.
