Anne Elizabeth Robinson, 91, of Traverse City, passed away April 27, 2018 at Munson Medical Center. Anne was born on July 2, 1926 in Traverse City to the late Robert and Mary (Morgan) Linsley.
Anne married the love of her life, Glen "Pat" Robinson, on Aug. 31, 1968 in Traverse City.
Anne graduated from Traverse City High School in 1944. She continued her education at Hillsdale College and then at the Agricultural College in the State of Michigan, which is now known as Michigan State University, where she earned a bachelor's degree in office management. She was a member of the first female graduating class at MSU. She then went on and worked for 25 years as the corporation secretary at Morgan-McCool Inc.
Anne was very active in the community. She was president of the local and state board for the Zonta Club, served as president, treasurer and district board for the Girl Scouts and was a member for over 50 years, served on the United Way board and the Northwestern Symphony Orchestra. Anne was also a charter member of the A.A.U.W. She also was a devoted member of First Congregational Church where she served on the diaconate, secretary of the church council and taught Sunday school for many years. Anne and her husband also built and co-owned Meadow Lane Park, where she was the secretary and treasurer.

In her spare time Anne loved to travel the world. Whether it was by air, land, sea or RV, she loved to explore. In her later years, she spent the winter months in Surprise, Arizona. More recently, in 2016 she moved to Bay Ridge Assisted Living. Her legacy and deep roots to the region will be cherished by her family, friends and the community.
Anne was preceded in death by her husband, Glen Patrick Robinson; brother, Robert; and step son-in-law, Ralph Heller.
Anne will be deeply missed by her family, Caroline (Allan) Durbin, Judith Heller and Glen Robinson Jr.; niece, Barbara Linsley; nephews, David Linsley and Christopher Linsley; grandchildren, Todd (Kris) Heller, Ty (Karla) Heller, Mary Pat (Bill) Compagnari, Amy (Jeff) Reed and Stephen (Kathy) Stechschulte; great-grandchildren, Robert, Kyle, Katie, Emily, Alison and Sara; and great-great-grandchildren, Violet and Noah.
The memorial service celebrating Anne's life will be held on Friday, May 4, 2018 at 6 p.m., with visitation beginning one hour prior, at the First Congregational Church. She will be laid to rest at the Garden of Remembrance following the service.
Memorial contributions in memory of Anne may be directed to the Zonta Club of Traverse City or to the First Congregational Church.
