Dale Nathan Porter, 43, our loved and respected father, grandfather, son and brother, passed away April 3, 1997 after a valiant struggle with cancer.

Born December 20, 1953 in Tooele, Utah to Edson and Veda Jensen Porter. Dale was a member of the LDS Church, graduate of Hillcrest High School and was employed by McDonnell Douglas.

An Honors Graduate of Salt Lake Community College, he enjoyed many hobbies including, golf, bowling, country and classical music, reading and writing poetry. He enjoyed traveling and the outdoors and played a mean french horn and piano.

Survivors: children, Jessica Porter; Jennifer McReynolds; Julie Porter, all Salt Lake City; grandsons, Connor McReynolds and Brayden Smith; parents, Hurricane; brothers and sister, Bruce, Hurricane; Gregory, Salt Lake; Jeffrey, Layton; Sharon, Raleigh, North Carolina; 13 nieces and nephews; many friends and associates.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 8, 1997, at 11 a.m. in the Goff Mortuary 8090 So. State, Midvale, where friends may call Monday 6-8 p.m. and Tuesday one hour prior to services. Interment, West Jordan City Cemetery.
