Lora A. Archer

Funeral services for Lora Alice Archer, 75, were held Tuesday, Nov. 25, in the church of the Big Hole in Melrose, with Rev. Paul Peterson officiating. Burial was in the Dillon, Mountain View Cemetery.

Mrs. Archer died Thursday, Nov. 20, 1997, at St. Patrick's Hospital in Missoula.

She was born August 10, 1922, the daughter of Frank and Annie Underwood, in Spencer, Idaho. ON June 26, 1939 she married W.A. Archer and moved to Melrose where she lived for 48 years.

She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary lodge unit No. 0020; A Gold Star Mother, the Melrose Mothers Club, and a member of the Presbyterian Church of the Big Hole. She enjoyed having company and listening to country music. Her life was her 11 children, grandchildren, great grandchildren as well as many other children in the community.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, two sisters, her husband, one son and a granddaughter. She is survived by a sister, Mae Massengale of Helena; sons and daughters-in-law of Hayden Lake, Idaho; Ramsay; Bancroft, Idaho; Egle, Idaho; Couer d'Alene, Idaho; and Melrose; daughters and sons-in-law of Dillon and Divide; 19 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
