Mr. Curtis Ray Taylor age 82 of Esom Hill Ga. passed away Sunday January 10, 2021.

Ray was born August 7, 1938 in Esom Hill Georgia to the late Cara Taylor and was also preceded in death by two half brothers Dicky and Larry Andrews. Ray was a member and former Chief of the Esom Hill Fire Department from the early 1970's until 2003, and if you ever meet Ray you know how easy going and full of life, always smiling and cutting up with his friends. His love for his family always come first but he loved the outdoors keeping him busy hunting and fishing, wining many awards for skeet shooting and fishing.

Surviving are his wife Melissa Wester Taylor, Daughters Reta & Jerry Carter and Dona Taylor, Special Grandson Austin & Katie Temple, Brother Jimmy & Nancy Morris, five Grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild also surviving.

Memorial services for Ray Taylor will be conducted Thursday January 14, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Lester Litesey Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Wright officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday from 12:00 noon until the funeral hour at the funeral home.

The family has asked that flowers please be omitted and donation made to the Polk County Fire Department .

Honorary Pallbearers will be the members of the Polk County Fire Department.
