Shirley Jane Orndoff Boyd, 84, passed away peacefully on Saturday January 2, 2021. She was born in Greene County, Pa., on May 17, 1936 daughter of the late Charles and Virginia Johnson Orndoff.
Shirley graduated from Waynesburg College and taught in the Norwin School District for many years. She was a member of South Harborcreek United Methodist Church and took great joy in her grandchildren. She enjoyed camping, playing cards, and bingo.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Warren L. Boyd.
Survivors include her son, Gary Boyd and his wife, Renee, of Leroy, N.Y.; her daughter, Cindy Shelley, of Erie; four grandchildren, Alex Shelley, Nicole Randazzo and her husband, Nick, Robert Hayes, and Ashley Rivera and her husband, Joe; three great grandchildren, Julia, Lucas, and Leo; one brother, Richard Orndoff and his wife, Merrianne, of Florida; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services and burial will be private. Funeral arrangements were made by the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home Inc., 5000 Wattsburg Rd., Erie, 16504.
