John Arthur Blohm, 48, passed away on October 3, 2007 after a lengthy illness. He was born May 21, 1959 to Mary Ellen Hellhake Blohm and Robert Arthur Blohm in Texarkana, AR. John grew up in Sacramento, CA and graduated from The Jesuit Preparatory School. He attended San Francisco City College. He was employed by a catering firm in San Francisco and later by Nieman Marcus, Gucci and other fine retail establishments. John had a love for life, and his collection of Barbie dolls and vintage items was a joy for all to see and enjoy. He will be missed. John is survived by his partner of 14 years, Guy T. Connelly of Palm Springs, CA; his parents, Robert and Mary Ellen Blohm of Ft. Bragg, CA; his siblings, Mark Blohm (Elizabeth) of Concord, CA, William Blohm (Yumi) of San Jose, CA, David Blohm (Thuy) of Auburn, CA, Mary Ann Blohm-Craig (P.J.) of Sacramento, CA; and nine nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to The Desert Aids Project or to Visiting Nurses Association.
