Joshua David Tackett, 40, Monrovia, passed away at 1:50 p.m. on Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at Franciscan St. Francis Health in Mooresville.
He was born on Friday, September 3, 1976 in Martinsville, Indiana, to Rev. John Thomas “Tom” Tackett of Martinsville and Teresa A. (Payton) Tackett of Monrovia.
Joshua was a 1995 graduate of Martinsville High School and served his country in the United States Navy. He was a team lead in the production department, Bake Line – 5, at Harlan Bakeries in Avon.
He is survived by his wife, Melinda G. (Donovan) Tackett, whom he married on September 9, 2009; son, Andrew Bunton of Muncie; brothers, William Thomas Tackett, Jason Patrick Tackett, Jeremy Michael Tackett, Jacob Kenneth Nees, Jared Nees, Christopher George Sharp, Jon Ladigo, William “Buck” Ladigo and Danny Malone.
Funeral services will be 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 13, 2016 at Costin Funeral Chapel with Rev. Tom Tackett officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service starting at 4:00 p.m.
Graveside services with military honors will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, November 14, 2016 at Nebo Memorial Park.
