Avis "Reenie" Lorene Morris, 80, of Charlottesville, VA passed away on Wednesday, January 06, 2021 at the University of Virginia Medical Center. She was born on January 20, 1940 in Charlottesville, VA to the late George Wilbert Morris, Sr. and Alma Avis Shifflett Morris.

She is survived by her children, Leisa Morris-Holsapple, Frank Morris (Tammy), Libbie Gibson (fiancé, Ron Harford); special grandson, Jamie Morris; 8 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, John Samuel Morris; daughter, Laurie Alma Morris; and siblings, Mittie Dudley, George W. Morris, Jr., Randolph “Fuzzy” Morris, Edward W. Morris, Sr., and John W. Morris.

The family would like to express a special thank you to nurse, Kimber for all of her care while at The Laurels, UVA ICU 4 South for their kindness and support at the end and to Ron Harford for his love and devotion.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, January 9, 2021 at Ryan Funeral Home, 12819 Spotswood Trail Ruckersville, VA 22968. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
