She was preceded in death by her husband, James; parents, Fred and Lucille Murphy; sister, Pam; and is survived by her children, Melanie (James), Rodney, Scott (Sharon), David (Beth); 6 grandchildren, Dawn, Shannon, Ryan, Joshua, Delaney and Sydney; 2 great-grandchildren, Paisley and Knox. The family will receive friends 6 to 8 pm, Thursday, January 14 at the Chesterfield Chapel of Bennett Funeral Home, 14301 Ashbrook Pkwy, where a service will be held 10 AM Friday, January 15. Interment will follow in Dale Memorial Park. In Lieu of Flowers, donations may be made to Chesterfield Baptist Church 16520 Hull St. Road, Moseley, VA 23120.
