John L. Jack Dutton, Sr., age 92, of Newark, DE, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 9, 2018.

Born in Orange, New Jersey on July 1, 1925, he was a son of the late Leon G. and Mary (Dillon) Dutton. John served in the US Army during WWII at the Battle of Metz. He then dedicated his career as a computer programmer in the insurance industry.

A true outdoors man, he loved walking, exploring, camping and golfing. He enjoyed the time spent with his family. John was also a member of the VFW. Above all, he was a beloved husband, father, brother and grandfather.

In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Anne B. (Bruckman) Dutton. He is survived by his sons, John L. Dutton, Jr. (Debbie) of Newark, Stephen R. Dutton (Carol) of East Brunswick, NJ and Richard G. Dutton of Boise, Idaho; 2 brothers; 6 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren
