Charlene retired from Grasselli Block Company with 18 years of service, after she retired she was a floral designer from 1985 until 2020. Charlene was a loving wife, devoted mother , and proud "Gunny" to her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Morris Ray Nelson; her grandson, Geoffrey Whitfield Coyne, and six brothers. Charlene is survived by her son, Jason (Jennifer) Nelson; her daughter, Darlene Coyne; her grandchildren, Emily Elizabeth Coyne, Christopher, Joel, Sarah and Rebecca Nelson; her brother, Joe (Pat) Miller; numerous nieces, nephews, and extended loving family and friends. Funeral service will be Saturday, January 16, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Bessemer Brown Service Funeral Home with burial following at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Bro. Harlan Turman will be officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
