Resident of Rochester NH and formerly of Beverly, MA, died Tuesday Morning at his residence following a lengthy illness.

Nick, to all who knew and loved him, was born February 9, 1951 in Beverly, MA, the son of Neal Fisher and Phyllis J. Atherton Mitchell, and attended Beverly Schools.

Always a hard worker, in his school years, Nick sold Christmas trees from his parents’ home, and this led to his lifelong talent of having a green thumb and his love of gardening, both vegetables and flowers.

Nick was employed with various companies, notably Lockheed Martin, RCA now General Electric, and Simplex Grinnell, retiring early due to his health as a purchasing agent.

Nick was a longtime friend of Bill W.

He loved to spend time at his Rock Haven Lake camp in Newfield, ME, a place where he was able to enjoy fishing, waterskiing, and spending time with family. He also was an avid coin collector and always cheered on his favorite New England sports teams.

Nick is predeceased by his parents and a sister, Marilyn Heath.

Survivors include his three daughters Karen Mitchell of Reading, MA, Kristen Lopez of Danvers, MA, and Kelly Mitchell of Wakefield, NH, a granddaughter Teya Marquis, and two sisters, Donna Comier of Florida and Paula Nyland of Boxford, MA.
