Wayne Chapman, age 68 of Dacula, GA, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, December 29, 2020. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Julie. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Barbara, who he called the love of his life; his son, Joseph (and Connie); his daughter, Lori Hedrick (and Dustin); his grandchildren, Eli and Zach Chapman and Anna Beth, Lydia, and Malachi Hedrick; his sister, Linda Bradford; and his brothers, David Chapman, Michael Chapman, and Larry Chapman.

Wayne was born in Fort Worth, TX. He graduated Mercer University. He worked 27 years at Lockheed Martin and loved what he did. He never bragged, but was pretty stinking good at it too. He was always so laid back. He was a rock to anyone who needed one and had an answer for almost anything. Music was his passion and he also enjoyed golf, cigars, and crossword puzzles. He enjoyed life and had a good sense of humor.

His grandkids will always remember his famous quote “I win! I win again! I always win!” and in your best Wayne quoting music lyrics voice, he would want us all to hear him say, “Don’t worry! BE HAPPY”

He fought pancreatic cancer hard and never gave up. His battle is over now and he will be greatly missed. His solid faith in Jesus gives all of us PEACE and we are so thankful for that, and that is our greatest JOY!!

The memorial service to celebrate the life of Wayne Chapman will be held on Saturday, January 16, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Tom M. Wages Snellville Chapel, Snellville, GA. The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 16, 2021 from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
