Patricia (Patti) Hanson passed away Thursday, October 29, 2020 in Modesto, California. She was born January 9, 1949 in Woodstock, IL to Vernon Hanson and Eileen Prendeville. Patti worked as a registered nurse for 40 years and brought that same care and compassion from her work to all who knew her. She was an animal lover, enjoyed reading, aesthetics, and dancing.

Patti specialized in the pacemaker clinic in her later years of nursing. She was passionate about having the ability to help her patients and guide them in their health choices for a better life. She was a compassionate mentor to many in the program and didn't pull punches when the people she cared for needed a wake-up call, yet managed to do so kindly. Patti was a friend who loved deeply and laughed often. She had courage and a strong work ethic which she preferred to apply using her mind and her heart and applied them the most in her spiritual journey and her journey to better herself as a human.

Patti was a Mom who loved her children and her grandchildren beyond all reason and sometimes more than we deserved, but she was also much more. She was a sister to four and a daughter and shared adventures with her family laughing and enjoying life. She was intelligent and beautiful and had a wicked sense of humor. She was charismatic and people were drawn to her lively spirit and sense of joy.

Patti was an earth-bound faerie, wearing whimsical fabrics of green and blue and purple, touched by shimmers of light and magic, making people feel better just by her being, and she will be deeply missed.

Patti was preceded in death by her parents, Vernon and Eileen Hanson, and brother, Daniel Hanson. She is survived by her devoted children, Heidi Guiney of Astoria, OR, and Glenroy Harer of Modesto, CA; grandchildren, Megan Guiney of Portland, OR, and Bridget Guiney of Vancouver, WA; siblings, Roberta Camp, Joseph Hanson and Michael Hanson, all of Woodstock, IL.

A Celebration of Life will be held when it is safe to gather together. Her ashes will be spread in the Caribbean where she had a spiritual experience.

Godspeed and fly high, Mom.
