The funeral for Sgt Maj Steven A Campbell, Elliville, MS, will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, January 16, 2021, at Crosby Baptist Church in Crosby, MS. Visitation wil be 9:30 - 11:00 AM, prior to the funeral on Saturday, also at the church.

The service will be conducted by Dr. Keith Thompson and Bro. Stephen Taylor, both of Moselle Memorial Baptist Church, Moselle, MS. Music will be provided by Collin Raye and Kimberly Brady. Pallbearers are Jason Bordelon, Shannon Boykin, Brandy Haden, Jody Patterson, Greg Piraino, and Chad Townsend. Honorary Pallbearers are Don Bocock, Eddie Brady, Chip Forsythe, Bob Higginbotham, W. R. Taylor, and Jimmy Temple.

Sgt Major Campbell had a distinquished career in the US Marine Corps, serving 27 years (1967-1995) in Vietnam, Okinawa, Panama, Lebanon, Iraq, & the Mediterranean. We owe a debt of gratitude for his service. Later he worked as an insurance agent. He was a member of the Moselle Memorial Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife Yvonne Day Campbell; his daughter Stevanie Campbell Bordelon (Jason); three Grandchildren, Madison Rux Bordelon, Cale Bordelon, and Jaycee Grace Bordelon; one brother John Campbell; one sister Minne Laura Campbell; and many nieces and nephews.

Steve and Yvonne celebrated their 50th anniversary on December 20, 2021, whie waiting for a lung transplant and heart surgery at Duke University Medical Center; Durham, NC. There wedding was in Crosby Baptist Church, Crosby, MS, where Steve's memorial service will be.

A miitary and committal service will follow funeral, at Day Cemetery, Crosby, MS
