Ruby Joe Luckey

April 27, 1917 – July 21, 2006

Ruby Joe Luckey, 89, passed away at Scott & White Hospital in Temple on July 21, 2006. She was a life long resident of Milam County, living most of her life in Rockdale. Rev.Jack Chelf of First Baptist Church in Rockdale conducted funeral services on July 23, 2006 at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale. Burial was in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Rockdale.

Ruby was born in April 27, 1917 in Milam County near Cameron to Albert and Allie (Canter) Whiteley. She and Lee Luckey were married on September 14, 1942 in Rockdale. She was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, John Henry "Buck" Whiteley, sister, Marie Shetler, half brother, Otto Whiteley and half sisters, Sue Kelley and Edith Lyles.

She is survived by her husband, Lee of Rockdale and a number of nieces and nephews.

Serving as pallbearers were Billy Bob Farr, William Stork, Billy Ray Wallace, Jim Clyde Wallace, Brady Nelson, Jr. and Mike Scott Whiteley.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Rockdale. She loved her church and her family.
