He married Audrey D. Vanderwalker on July 13, 1968 in West Bend, Wisconsin.
David W. Mayer is survived by his wife: Audrey D. Mayer of Fredericksburg, Texas; three sisters: Ruth Zechmeister of Wisconsin, Marion Wellenstein of Wisconsin, Hilda Weinke of Wisconsin
Mr. Mayer is preceded in death by his parents, son: David William Mayer and 6 brothers
A Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 14th from 3 to 6 P.M. in the chapel of the Schaetter Funeral Home, Fredericksburg. Graveside services and interment will be held at a later date in the Washington County Memorial Park, West Bend, Wisconsin at a later date with military honors. Face coverings and social distancing is mandatory. There will be a limit of 30 people in the funeral home at a time.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorials be given in his memory to the Zion Lutheran Church, Michael Fox Parkinson Foundation or to the charity of your choice.
