Joan Wardell Campbell, age 81, of Sulphur, Louisiana passed away on Sunday, July 19, 2020 at her home after a long illness. Joan was born in Bogalusa, La. to Bob and Elmer Mae Adams on December 8, 1938.

Joan was a mother, wife, and a friend. She gave birth to 3 daughters, and a son. She is the wife of James S. Campbell of 63 years. Joan loved to play bingo, to travel, seeing how others lived. She was a member of the Women of the Moose, having received her Friendship degree. She was a Past Senior Regent and a member for 42 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Cynthia Diane Campbell, brothers, Brock Adams, Jimmy Adams, Johnny Adams, Reggie Adams, Ray Adams, and a sister, Bobby Grace Navo.

She is survived by James S. Campbell, Jr. and wife, Sherry, Joan E (Sissy) Eubanks and husband, Robert (Spike), Brenda Gail Thrash and husband, Greg. Also 6 grand-children and 3 great-grandchildren. A sister, Ethel Mae Haik and brother, Joe L. Adams of West Monroe, La.

Graveside service will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at Hebron Baptist Church Cemetery on Hwy 122 from Dry Prong. Pastor Richard DeBusk will officiate.

The Family of Mrs. Campbell expresses our Gratitude to the Nurses and to the aides for their devotion and expertise while they were with Mrs. Campbell a Big Hug and Thank You.
