The funeral service will be held on Sunday, January 10 at 2 p.m. at the Georgetown Church of Christ. Internment, directed by Graham Funeral Home, will immediately follow the service in Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Lee was born in Whitesburg, Kentucky on December 13, 1943. She was a daughter of the late Thomas Jefferson Helton and late Edna Niece Helton. Mrs. Lee was a faithful member of the Georgetown Church of Christ.
She enjoyed the fellowship of her Christian brethren, gardening and growing hydrangeas, watching Atlanta Braves baseball, and a good cup of coffee while listening to the Arise to Truth radio program. She was a very loving, caring mother and grandmother and greatly adored by her family. She will be forever missed.
She is survived by 3 children, Charles D. Lee (Patti) of Mount Pleasant, SC, Mark D. Lee (Christina) of Plant City, FL, Tuesday Lee (Paul) of Mount Pleasant, SC; five grandchildren, Madeleine Lee, Christopher Lee, and Catherine Lee, all of Mount Pleasant, SC; Chase Lee and Aiva Lee, both of Plant City, FL; one brother, Thomas Helton III of Talbott, TN; one sister-in-law, Linda L. Marsh of Georgetown, SC; two brothers-in-law, Jimmy Lee of Boca Raton, FL, and Sidney Lee (Karen) of Georgetown, SC; a number of nieces and nephews, and loyal companion, Malcolm Pope of Conway, SC.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Lee was preceded in death by sisters Della Marcum, Eunice Helton, Yvonne Hall, Mary Ruth Johnson, Theresa Noble, and Janet Hargis and her parents-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. W.D. Lee.
The family would like to express their great appreciation to the nurses and staff of Prince George Healthcare Center for the attentive and compassionate care given to Mrs. Lee.
