Lawrence Carter, age 69, of Lanett, AL transitioned on Sunday, September, 20, 2020 at the Bethany House, Auburn, AL. Lawrence, son of the late Mr. Porter Carter, Jr. and Mrs. Lillia Mae Carter, was born August 13, 1951 in LaGrange, GA.

At an early age, he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at the Central Baptist Church, LaGrange, GA.

He was a member of the 1970 graduating class of East Depot High School, LaGrange, GA.

Lawrence was a soft spoken individual whom was caring and very humble. He always kept a BIG smile on his face. He loved taking his daily walk in the Veteran's Park, listening and talking about music and watching sports. He loved nice clothes and was a sharp dresser.

He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Porter Carter, Sr. and Mr. and Mrs. Abe Winston, Sr.; three brothers, Mr. Oliver Carter, Mr. Kevin Carter and Mr. Porter Carter, III.

Graveside Services for Mr. Carter will be held on Friday, September 25, 2020 at 11:00 a.m, EST in the Hillcrest Cemetery with Bishop Donald Lancaster serving as the Eulogist and Deacon Ronnie Tucker, Assisting.
