AGE 88 YEARS
Jane E. (Mosteller) Miller, of State College, formerly of Clearfield, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2021 at Elmcroft of State College. She was the daughter of the late George and Minnie (Oberdorf) Mosteller. She graduated from South Williamsport High School in 1950. Jane earned her bachelor’s degree from the former Lock Haven State Teacher’s College in 1953, and received certification in library science from the former Millersville Teacher’s College. She taught in Quakertown, Lewistown, Dallastown, York Suburban School District and Mifflin County School District.
Jane was a member of Faith United Methodist Church of Bellefonte, St. Paul’s United Methodist Church of Lewisburg, West Side United Methodist Church of Clearfield, and First United Methodist Church of Lewistown. She was also active in the Lock Haven Alumni Association and PSERS. She enjoyed playing cards and board games with friends, attending local cultural events, spending time with her family and continuously putting her faith into action to help others.
She is survived by her two children, Sharon M. Miller of Wexford, and Dale E. Miller Jr. and his wife Ashley of State College; two grandchildren, Blade Stolick and Grayson Miller; and a sister, Dorothy M. Noll. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dale E. Miller Sr., who died on Oct. 19, 1993, and her two brothers, Franklin E. Mosteller and Robert N. Mosteller.
A private funeral service will be held for the family with Rev. Andrew Morgan officiating. Burial will be in Crown Crest Memorial Park, Hyde.
