Jessie Lee Joyner,
Born on April 29, 1932 in Wynne, AR. His family moved to Jacksonville when he was 5 years old.
He was a veteran proudly serving our country in the Korean War, Combat 40th Infantry Division.
After the war he worked with Johnson & Johnson/Chicopee in North Little Rock for 39 years.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years Verna Mae Kyzer, parents Harvey Joyner Sr. and Lois Catlett, brothers, Harvey, Jerome and sister, Helen Shirley.

e is survived by his brother Darnell Joyner (Nell) and sister Shirley Handy (Dan) all of Jacksonville, sister-in-law Rita Joyner of Cabot. Sons, Jessie Joyner Jr (Amy) of Tumbling Shoals; Gary Joyner (Janel) of Jacksonville, Daren Joyner (Lisa) of Pine Bluff and daughter Kelly Joyner Berntsen of Cabot. Eight grandchildren, Amber Carroll, Ashlyn Joyner, Nathan Joyner, Emily Rathburn, Peyton Reinhart, Kyle Joyner, Jacqueline and Rachael Berntsen and 6 great grandchildren. Jessie loved gardening and watching westerns.

The summers were always spent on Greers Ferry Lake camping and teaching his kids to water ski. He also loved hunting, fishing, traveling around the states and cruises.

But most of all he loved his family. Through his actions and commitment he showed his family what it means to be brave, wise and content with life, but most of all what it means to be loved.
His memory will be cherished in our hearts forever.
