James Dale “Jim” Dutton, Sr., 86, passed away Wednesday, December 30, 2020 in Wichita Falls, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 1 PM on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 in the chapel of Dutton Funeral Home in Iowa Park with Pastor David Bishop, Southwest Baptist Church of Wichita Falls officiating. Graveside services will follow at the Temple Cemetery in Temple, Oklahoma under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home of Iowa Park, Texas.

Jim was born September 8, 1934 in Cookie Town, Oklahoma to James Emory and Bessie Lee (Langford) Dutton. He married Nita Rae Maxfield on October 11, 1988 in Lawton, Oklahoma. Jim was a veteran of the United States Air Force, serving from 1953 to 1958. He worked for Darr Equipment for 35 years where he served in numerous capacities including Branch Manager of the Wichita Falls location. He was a lifelong member and Elder of the Lutheran Church. Jim loved spending his time reading, golfing, fishing and hunting.

Jim is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Gale Dutton; brother, Emory Dutton; nephew, Jimmy Paul Dutton.

Surviving relatives include his wife, Nita Dutton of Wichita Falls; daughter, Dianna Lynch and husband, David of Wichita Falls; son, James Dutton, Jr. and wife, Letaza of Tulsa, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Amanda and Jarred Tressler, Aleah Dutton, Kristin DeLeon, Rusty Pritchard and Levi Pritchard; eight great grandchildren; and nephew, Rodney Dutton. Memorials are suggested to Hospice of Wichita Falls.
