Shirley Ann Dixon, 81, was born on August 24, 1939 in Danville. She passed away on Dec. 23, 2020 at Kennestone Hospital, Marietta, Ga. She was born to Nathan Saunders and Gladys Smith. In the winter of 1940, her mother died of pneumonia, and she was raised by her grandmother, Sarah Coleman. She married Percy Leander Dixon who preceded her in death. Shirley was a member of County Line Missionary Baptist Church in Vernon Hill.
Surviving are her three children, Joyce Clements (Joseph), Percy Dixon (Louvenia) and James Dixon (Tammy). Sons Timothy and Clinton also preceded her in death.
Burial will be in County Line MissionaryBaptist Church Cemetery.
