REDKEY, Ind.--Melba Lucille Claycomb, 84, formerly of Redkey, died Wednesday in Patrician Skilled Care Center, North Royalton, Ohio, following a lengthy illness.
She was born in Lewisville and worked for Indiana Glass Co. in Dunkirk. She was also a previous owner of Redkey Hotel and Restaurant before moving to Ohio around 30 years ago.
She was a member of the Redkey Nazarene Church.
Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Walter (Wilma) White, Muncie, Mrs. Bill (Barbara) Broadbent, Michigan, Mrs. Jasper (Mary) Abernathy, Redkey, and Mrs. Ron (Carolyn) Biehl, Parma Heights, Ohio; two sons, Max, Redkey, and Donald, Avon Lake, Ohio; a sister, Rachel Sherley, Redkey; two brothers, Bob and Gene Walters, Los Angeles; 16 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in Jones Mortuaries, Redkey Chapel. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery. Friends may call 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at the mortuary.
