DUNKIRK--John William Clay, 59, died Saturday at Jay County Hospital in Portland. He was retired from the Navy and was a member of the American Legion and the Moose Lodge at Dunkirk.
Mr. Clay is survived by six sisters, Mrs. Charles (Mary) Brammer, Albany, Mrs. Betty Evans, Hamilton, Ohio, Mrs. Ruth Dawson, Muncie, Mrs. Patricia Meadors, Clearwater, Fla., Mrs. Albert (Sue) Butler, Mansfield, Ohio, and Mrs. W.H. (Shirley) Tipton, Oak Ridge, Tenn.; and two brothers, Kenneth Clay, Craig, Colo., and Thomas Clay, Tullahoma, Tenn.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Jones Mortuary, with Rev. Frank Voss officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery in Redkey. Friends may call at the mortuary 6-9 p.m. today and prior to services Monday.
