He is survived by his wife, Flo Overbey Bowling and his children, Roger Bowling (Novella) of Flatwoods Road, Corbin, KY and Tammy Andrews of London, KY, his grandchildren, Tamara Andrews, Flolisha Goss (Curtis), Tiffany Martin (Ryan), William Andrews, Tyler Andrews, Courtney Bowling and Abby Baker, his siblings, Ruby Philpot (George) and Danny Bowling (Carolyn) Of London, KY. He was preceded in death by his parents, Esom and Mary Vandy Bowling, his siblings, Junior Bowling (Daisy), A. J. Bowling, James Bowling, Tommie Jean Hubbard (Oscar), Lela Mae Philpot (Earl Gene).
Wayne was a hard working provider, working his public job during the day and farm work until dark of night. He loved to ride horses, rabbit and squirrel hunt as well as run his beagles. He also loved to watch or listen on the radio his Kentucky Wildcats. He was a member of the Lakeview Church of Christ and he will be dearly missed by family and friends.
The family would like to express their thanks and appreciation to VNA Hospice and nurses Ed Bowling and Perlina Mahon for their excellent care and compassion during this difficult time, also Diane for her dedication in providing personal hygiene care. Wendell Worley and Steve Neeley will officiate at the service. Burial will be in the Roark-Overbey Cemetery in London.
