Elaine Evelyn Davis was born on September 16, 1935, in Ludden, North Dakota, the daughter of Robert and Emma (Harvisto) Frederick. She grew up around Ludden, North Dakota.
Elaine was united in marriage to Willard Davis on September 4, 1951 in Correll, Minnesota. The couple lived in St. Paul for a short period and then they moved to Alexandria. To the union three children were born: Patty, Judy and John. For thirty years Elaine and Willard did foster care. She was also involved in her church Zion Lutheran with Bible Study, Women's Guild.
Elaine enjoyed living on the lake, going for walks, reading, traveling, playing with her dog and spending time with family.
Elaine died on Wednesday, January 6, 2021. She is survived by her two children: John and Judy; granddaughters: Kaylene Davis, Katie Davis; a great grandson Xavier Grey Davis; sisters: Doris Olson of Willmar, Stella Melcher, of Hillsboro, OR; Virginia (Roger) Randall of Aitkin, MN, Roberta Rehnke of Solon, IA; son in law, Earl Kuhnau.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Willard Davis; daughter, Patty, Kuhnau; parents, sister, Shirley Brabender, Brothers: Richard, Donald and Morris Frederick.
Visitation will be held on Monday, January 11, 2021, 4-7 PM. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 12, 2021, 10:30 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church in Alexandria. Burial will be at Kinkead Cemetery. Due to Covid-19 health mandates, social distancing and facial coverings are required. Elaine's service will be live streamed and recorded for those unable to attend.
