She devoted her life to Christ at an early age and was a faithful and active member of Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church for many years.
Katherine was a true servant at heart. Spending precious time with family and friends was very important to her. She loved cooking and trying new recipes. She enjoyed watching the cooking, animal, and cartoon channels. She also had an amazing green thumb. Fishing was her favorite past-time. Katherine loved to laugh and have fun. Katherine never saw a stray cat that she wouldn’t nurture and care for.
Those left to cherish her memories: her three children, Tabitha (Jimmy) Terry, Sandy (Jack) Whitfield, and Leroy (Pamela) Lacy; three sisters, Dorothy Brooks, Gloria Brooks, and Clara Lou Brooks and two brothers, Leroy (Shirlet) Brooks and Jack (Ruby) Brooks. She has a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
