Gurnie M. Kissinger, 70, a former resident of Lykens, living for the past 35 years in Sunbury, died at his home in that place Tuesday morning at 5 o'clock, death having been caused by a heart attack. Mr. Kissinger was born in Lykens and was a son of the late John and Katherine Kissinger. Forty-nine years ago he was united in marriage to Miss Sara John, of Lykens, who with two sons, George Enola, and Robert, Sunbury, survive. The following brothers and sisters also survive: George M., John, Mrs. George Beidenmiller, Lykens; Mrs. George S. Gerhart, Harrisburg; Mrs. S. I. Campbell, and Charles, Philadelphia. He was a member of the Sunbury Lutheran Church and was fraternally connected with the Pennsylvania Relief, I. O. O. F., and Elks, of Sunbury.
For more than 30 years he was an employee of the Pennsylvania Railroad and since 65 years of age has been retired from active duty.
Funeral services were held from his late home yesterday afternoon at 2 o'clock and burial made in a Sunbury cemetery.
