Christopher Greg Steele of Monticello, NY, died Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at his home. He was 62.
He was born November 14, 1958 in Port Jervis, NY, the son of the late Richard Steele and Catherine Ryker Steele.
He grew up in Matamoras, PA where he knew most of his friends and neighbors. He had a good word to say for everyone and was always available to help a friend in need. He was a lifetime member of the Matamoras Fire Department. He graduated from Delaware Valley High School and worked for Ames Rubber and Kolmar Labs. He will be deeply missed.
He was married to his loving wife Linda until her passing in 2009.
Surviving are his mother, Catherine Steele; his loving children: Christina Ogden and Janie Steele; grandchildren: Stephen, Jayden, Amber-Lynn, Damien, Evan and Jasleen; siblings: Keith Steele and his wife, Nancy, Richard Steele, Steven Steele, Judilyn Misczuk; also many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by his father, Richard K. Steele; his wife Linda; sister-in-law, Eileen Kelly Steele; brother-in-law, Thomas Misczuk; nephew, Peter Misczuk.
Funeral services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. A private burial of ashes will be held in the Pine Grove Cemetery, Matamoras, PA.
