Lawrence Anthony “Tony” Harris, 58, of Jacksonville died Monday, January 4, 2021 at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield. He was born June 14, 1962 in White Hall the son of Robert and Barbara Staats Harris.
He is survived by his mother, Barbara Harris of Jacksonville; three daughters, Cassidy (Tim) Lindsey of Jacksonville, Amanda Watkins of Girard, and Allison Harris of Ashland; two grandchildren, Colton Meeks, and Traven Lindsey; two brothers, Frank Harris of Chatham, and John Harris of Meredosia; and two sisters, Beth Cunningham of Pleasant Plains, and Alice Short of Springfield. He was preceded in death by his father.
Tony was a US Navy Veteran. He worked as a carpenter. More than anything he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and cooking.
