Douglas “Dougie” N. Parks, Sr., 78, of Cambridge passed away on Thursday, December 31, 2020 at Mallard Bay Care Center. He was born in Cambridge on June 28, 1942 and was a son of the late Lasbury Thomas Parks, Jr., and Ruth Moore Parks.

Dougie attended school in Wingate. He worked for the City of Cambridge and retired in the early 2000’s. Dougie also worked for the Dorchester Crab Company in Wingate for many years and also did some painting and detailing cars. He enjoyed playing the lottery, race cars and baseball.

He is survived by two sons Dougie N. Parks, Jr. and his wife and children and Justin N. Parks, two stepchildren Robert Jones and his wife and children and John Hurley, Jr. and his wife and children, two brothers Larry Parks and wife Kay and Robert “Bob” Parks and wife Barbara and several nieces and nephews.

No services will be held at this time. Arrangements are in the care of the Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge.
