Paul W. Jensen
1930 - 2020
Paul W. Jensen, loving husband and father, passed away at the age of 90, on December 27, 2020. Paul was born on April 3, 1930 near Ruskin, Nebraska to Carl & Clara Jensen. His family moved to Eugene in 1936. They became members of Bethesda Lutheran Church, where he was still a member.
Paul met Karyl Denney at school and fell in love with her. They were married on November 10, 1950.
Paul was in the Army from 1951 to 1953, where he served in Korea. Upon returning, he worked in the Plywood industry and retired from Lane Plywood, as a foreman, after 39 years.
He loved traveling the world, looking for antiques & maintaining a beautiful yard. Every year, he looked forward to the annual hunting trip to Silver Lake which included family, friends and lifelong friend, Bruce Mortensen & family.
Paul was a very spiritual and dedicated family man who wanted everyone to accept Jesus into their lives. He was a very kind and generous person. He was known for his love of Karyl and for always holding her hand. Karyl passed away in 2017 and he missed her greatly.
He will be missed by the family but we are happy that he is in the loving arms of God and holding mom's hand again.
Paul is survived by his 3 children, Lynda Fredrickson (Mike), Debby Means (Larry), Rick Jensen (Ginger), 7 Grandchildren & 17 Great-grandchildren.
A family viewing will be held at West Lawn Memorial Park at 225 S. Danebo Ave., Eugene, Or 97402 from 12-1:30pm. A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 8, 2021 at Bethesda Lutheran Church at 4445 Royal Ave., Eugene, Or 97402 at 3pm. You can view the service via Bethesda Lutheran Church on YouTube.
