Joan Wright, 89, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Jan. 2, 2021, at Rawlins House.
Joan was born in 1931 as the only child of Edwin and Thelma Fulton in Wabash, but spent most of her life as a resident of Anderson.
Joan was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband of 65 years, Wayne L. Wright.
Joan is survived by her children, Bradley (Annette), Pamela Fisher (Gabe), and Kimberly Nealon (Ryan).
Joan was also an incredible grandmother to Sarah and Kelly Bohnenkamp, Garrett Nealon, and Richard Wright along with two great grandchildren, Kash and Remi McKeon, the beautiful children of Nate and Sarah.
Joan was a graduate of Anderson High School and attended Ball State University as an adult. She retired from St. John's Hospital after 20 plus years of service.
Joan was always busy! She was an incredible cook, card player, bowler, friend, wife, mother and grandmother and was usually up later than her children. She really loved her time with friends playing cards. She and Wayne also loved to travel and went on trips even into their 80's. Joan loved taking care of her family.
A private graveside service will take place Friday afternoon for immediate family at Memorial Park where she will be laid to rest next to Wayne.
