Gordon Davidson was born on June 18, 1932 in Albion, Michigan to Laura (Howard) Davidson and Darvin Davidson. He confessed his belief in Christ and was baptized in his early years. Gordon was a man of ethics, morals and principals. He believed in preparing yourself for God, and an honest day’s work. Gordon loved God, his family and friends.

Gordon attended West Ward School and Washington Gardner. He attended Albion College and was later drafted in the Army where he received training as a medic and chef. He served until his discharge. Gordon worked at Union Steel and in 1973 Albion Public Schools as the high school building and custodian leader. He loved the people and the environment so much; he had 25 plus years and retired from there. In his spare time, Gordon took pleasure in taking pictures and videos. He loved to cook and was known as a grill master. Sports were a family favorite; he loved the University of Michigan at the top of his list. Gordon was our family historian and storyteller; he had an exceptional recall memory of people and events that he loved to share.

Gordon was united in holy matrimony with his loving wife Nina Mae Penniex on September 6, 1958. Their love and marriage spanned for over six decades. Gordon enjoyed traveling the world with his wife, family and friends. He loved to visit his grandchildren and join them for special occasions, especially the holidays. Gordon James Davidson departed this life on Sunday, December 27, 2020 at the age of 88. He was preceded in death by his parents, Laura and Darvin Davidson and his brother Darvin Davidson. His wife Nina Mae Penniex and his granddaughter Johnita R. Miller and daughter Elizabeth Brownlee. He leaves to cherish his memory, Donna J. Nance, sister of Cleveland, Ohio, daughter Carolyn R. Miller, Indianapolis, IN, Ruben Brownlee, son-in-law, Ypsilanti, Michigan, son Darvin JL Davidson of Albion, Michigan; Seven grandchildren , twenty-nine great grandchildren and a host of great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and loved ones.
