Charles Martin Aaron, and his twin brother, George Aaron, were found as infants in a basket in a train station. There was a note in the basket which gave their names and said they were from Cairo, Illinois. The note also said they were Jews and were to be raised as Jews. Both babies were adopted by the parents of Tennessee Belle Cagle and raised alongside their own daughters---Tennessee Belle, Lizzie and Sarah. (Neither of the Aaron babies was raised as a Jew.) When Charles Martin Aaron and Tennessee Belle Cagle grew up, they were married and raised a large family of their own..
