Mary Ellen Perricone Shields, of Slidell, Louisiana, passed away on December 20, 2020 at the age of 74. She is a native of New Orleans, Louisiana, born on November 17, 1946 to the late Dominick Perricone and Lillian Perricone.

Mary is the beloved wife of 51 years to Harry Patrick Shields Jr.; cherished mother of Harry P. Shields III (Jennifer) and Kevin P. Shields (Gina); proud grandmother of Halle Shields, Claire Shields, Dominic Shields, Carly Shields, and Mary Grace Shields; loving sister of Patsy Quartararo, Gail Perricone Achary, Dominick Perricone Jr., and their spouses. She will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Mary is a graduate of Fortier High School. She is formerly employed with the SPCA in New Orleans, Mercy Hospital, and longtime owner of Magic Glow Carwash in Slidell with her husband and sons. Mary enjoyed spending her free time watching Judge Judy and British mysteries with her husband, but she loved nothing more than spending time with her family. They will forever cherish her memory.
