Wanda Louise Eaton, 87, of Vinita, passed away on Saturday, January 2, 2021 in Salina, Oklahoma. She was born on July 22, 1933 in Mayes County near Spavinaw to Walter and Ruby (Alexander) Duncan. She has lived in the Vinita area for the past 25 years coming from Spavinaw. Wanda raised her children in the Baptist Church and then afterwards Assembly of God. She enjoyed going to church and her church family. Her family fondly remembers her cooking and they love to say that she was one of the best cooks around. She enjoyed cooking for her family and bring them together around the table. She had a green thumb for flowers and looked forward to sewing, gardening, and canning. Wanda enjoyed the last 2 years of her life enjoying her family at the Covenant Care Home in Salina. She leaves behind many memories for her family to remember.
Wanda is survived by her sons, Howard Eaton and wife Joyce of Salina, Oklahoma and Frank Eaton of Salina, Oklahoma; daughter, Gail Lindbloom and husband Shanon of Vinita, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Bobby Shane and wife Rene Eaton of Quitman, Texas; Jamie Lynn Simmons of Salina, Oklahoma, and Wesley Leon and wife Rachel Noblin of Bernice, Oklahoma; great grandchildren, Will Eaton of Pryor, Oklahoma, Jordan Noblin of Bernice, Oklahoma, Brice Noblin of Bernice, Oklahoma and Gatlin Simmons of Salina, Oklahoma; other grandchildren and many nieces and nephews; sister, Reta Mae Fields; sister in law, Lucille Eaton; brother in law, Gerald Stephens; and many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Ruby Duncan; husband, Charles Homer Eaton; and 2 brothers, Bobby and Marion Duncan.
