On Saturday, Jan. 2, 2021, Sandra Lee Calhoun, loving wife and mother, passed away unexpectedly at the age of 72.
Sandy was born on March 13, 1948, in Jamestown, N.Y., to John and Mildred (Wight) Schneider.
She was a retired house-keeper at The Resource Center and was residing at Absolut Care of Westfield. Sandy was fiercely independent and made sure her family knew they were loved.
Sandy was preceded in death by her husband, Doug.
She is survived by her daughter, Millie (John) Blasdell; her grandchildren: Joshua and Jessica; her five sisters: Bertha Schlining, Joann Porterfield, Carol Johnston, Karen Phillips and Sharon Threodgill; as well as many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan 7, 2021, in the Falconer Funeral Home, 44 W. Falconer St., Falconer, NY 14733.
A private family grave-side service will be conducted at a later date in Pine Hill Cemetery, Falconer, N.Y., where Sandy will be laid to rest next to her mother.
Due to CDC and NYS Covid 19 regulations face masks will be required and social distancing observed during visitation.
