Born December 17, 1931, in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late Stanley Joseph and Clara (Piasecki) Schultz. He was also preceded in death by three brothers and six sisters.
Joseph was an auto body mechanic. He was a member of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church in Oakland, MD, and enjoyed working at their fish dinners during Lent. Joseph was a member of the Knights of Columbus where he would cook at their fund raisers. He liked boating, crabbing, fishing, and just being on the water.
Joseph is survived by his wife of 64 years, Joan Frances (Sann) Schultz; two sons, Joseph Andrew Schultz, Jr. and wife, Louise, Dundalk, MD; Ronald Schultz and wife, Terry, Johnson City, TN; one daughter, Virginia Billings and husband, Bernard, Whiteford, MD; six grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.
At Joseph’s request, he will be cremated. A memorial mass will be held Thursday, January 19, 2021, at St Peter the Apostle Church, 208 S. 4th St., Oakland, MD, 21550, at 2:00 p.m., with Father Thomas Gills officiating.
