Jessie Lee Cook, 61 years of age, of Russell Springs, Kentucky, departed this life on Sunday, January 3rd, 2021 at Russell County Hospital.
Jessie was born in Somerset, Kentucky on June 2nd, 1959, son of Dorothy Bingham Colyer and the late Jessie Cook, Jr. He was of the Christian faith, loved to build, watch westerns, but most of all he cherished spending time with his family.
Jessie was survived by his mother, Dorothy Colyer of Somerset, Kentucky; his wife of eleven years, Kathy Grider Cook; two sons, Scott (and Lilla) Cook and Billy (and Amanda) Cook, both of Somerset, Kentucky; one daughter, Hannah Grider of Russell Springs, Kentucky; two brothers, Brad Cook and Kyle Cook; six sisters, Brenda Cook, Sherry Seward, Patty Cook, Anita Chumbley, Tabatha Waters, Jessica; six grandchildren, Madison Cook, Logan Cook, Keelan Cook, Kristan Cook, Kevin Cook, and Brandalyn Polson; and a host of other family and friends who mourn his passing.
Jessie was preceded in death by his father, Jessie Cook Jr.
Visitations were held from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 7th, 2021 at the Southern Oaks Funeral Home in Somerset, Kentucky.
Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 7th, 2021 in the Chapel of the Southern Oaks Funeral Home with Bro. Barry Bradshaw officiating.
Burial followed in the Southern Oaks Cemetery in Somerset, Kentucky.
