NORTH JACKSON — Karen Ann Thompson, 64, passed away Saturday, Jan. 2, 2021, at her home.
She was born July 28, 1956, in Youngstown, a daughter of the late Dale L. Emery and Mildred Pompura Emery. On Feb. 14, 1975, she married Paul Thompson, who survives her.
Karen graduated magna cum laude from Youngstown State University, School of Criminal Justice. She was a homemaker who also assisted with the office work for her husband’s business, Thompson Home Improvement.
She enjoyed horseback riding, gardening, cooking, crafting, her Great Dane dogs and spending time with her family. Karen just enjoyed life in general.
Left to cherish memories of her are her husband of 45 years, Paul C. Thompson of North Jackson; daughters, Lynette (Joe McKenna) Lofland of Columbus and Melanie (Jesse) Campbell of North Jackson; her mother, Mildred Emery of North Jackson; a brother, Daniel (Helen) Emery; three sisters, Terri Klem, Kathy Ferguson and Barb (Dave) Rogozan; and two grandchildren, Jesse and Paige.
Besides her father, Karen was preceded in death by a sister, Donna Stassin.
In accordance with her wishes, there will be no funeral services at this time.
