Elizabeth Dingus Robinson, passed away Friday, (June 8, 2007), at the Holston Valley Hospital and Medical Center in Kingsport.
Elizabeth was a co-founder of the Joy Insurance Agency and later worked at the Wise Inn, Carriage Hill Motel and in the nursery at the Trinity United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Aubrey B. Robinson; her parents, Walter and Maggie Dingus; and two brothers, Luther Dingus and Clarence Dingus.
Surviving are two daughters, Joyce Carter of Wise, Va. and Janice Lay, a son-in-law, Dr Wood N. Lay of Spartanburg, S.C.; grandchildren, Dr Julie Bray, Wood W Lay LLD and Dr Katherine Belter; great-grandchildren, Woody Lay, Claire Lay, Elizabeth Bray, Emory Bray, Katherine Bray, Carter Bray, Sawyer Breiter and Cohn Breiter; two brothers, Lawrence Dingus and Arland Dingus; three sisters, Cecile Dingus, Edna Wyatt and Anna Adams.
Services for Elizabeth Dingus Robinson were held graveside services and burial following in the Dingus Family Cemetery, White Oak Road, Wise, Va. with Rev Robert Layell officiating.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to Trinity United Methodist Church P0. Box 857 Wise, VA 24293.
