Loved to paint, garden and watch birds
Raymond C. Weaver, 84, of Millville went to be with the Lord Saturday, Jan. 2, 2021, at his home, surrounded by his family. He was born Oct. 18, 1936, in Berwick, a son of the late Albert and Thelma (Bertsch) Weaver.
Raymond attended Millville High School and entered the Army in 1956 and was with the 8th Infantry Division in Nuremburg, Germany.
He loved to paint, garden, and watch birds. He was a member of the Millville American Legion Arthur Bardo Post 564 and a member of the Millville Rod and Gun Club.
Raymond is survived by his wife, the former Miriam Florence Holdren, to whom he was married in 1964; four children: Holly Cotner and husband Dave, Rose Cox and husband Scott, Randy Weaver and wife Brenda, Jerry Weaver and wife Susan; four grandchildren: Amanda and Donald Cox, and Jamiee and Chelsy Cotner; and one great-great-grandson, Liam.
He was preceded in death by his parents, as well as nine siblings: Marion Simpson, Richard Weaver, Jenny Walker, Sarah Carl, Kenneth Weaver, Harry Weaver, Carolyn Lawalt, and infant twin brother and sister.
Services will be at the convenience of the family.
